To whom it may concern,
It is with great anger in our hearts that we the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) write to you about recent issues at Lansing Community College.

The racist bullying by management of WFF Facility Services that has lead to dismissals and quitting reads like the plot of a bad soap opera rather than a sad all to true reality.
We insist on a full independent investigation into the behaviour of the management team at WFF/LCC who seem intent on causing problems between Workers (the old divide and rule trick) instead of teaching them the job skills needed to do the work they are hired for.

Maybe you should take a leaf out of Jeffrey Pillon and Cedrick Webb’s book, with their positive contribution to Workers co-operation.
We applaud you for the recent dismissal of a racist supervisor who violently attacked a Worker in December 2011, but fail to understand the subsequent dismissing of the victim of this attack Jeffrey Pillon, which sends out the wrong kind of message to anyone who stands up to racism.
We insist the Lansing Community College Board of Trustees put pressure on their vendor, WFF Facility Services to re-hire Cedrick Webb and Jeffrey Pillon (the victim of racist abuse and the man who did the right thing in reporting this draconian behaviour) immediately.
We are proud to have many Nationalities in our world wide Union who help to promote the idea of one big Union for all Workers, helping to show that racism is not the answer to Working class problems.
We look forward to hearing from you soon with a more positive message than the one that has been shown.
Andy Smith, International Solidarity Liaison Officer
