Manchester IWW is currently supporting three members, two of them IWW members, in a dispute with their ex-employer, who owes them over £1000 in unpaid wages.
Our members and supporters have organised multiple “communications zaps” and and held a successful picket at the café, and received the strong support of the local community in Lancaster with over 100 people signing a petition to the business.
So far, we’ve received nothing from the workers’ ex-boss but bullying threats, so are supporting them in legal proceedings against the business. We will continue to campaign against wage theft and poor working conditions in the hospitality industry.
