Organising in and around London

If you wish to organise at your workplace, please contact us. Our volunteers are experienced and committed. They will help you build a union presence on the job. They will help you develop innovative direct action with sound legal knowledge on disciplinary and grievance issues.

The IWW Cleaners and Allied Industries Branch offers:

Regular Meetings throughout the month

  • Meetings on the first Saturday of the month, May Day Rooms from 2pm till 5pm, 88 Fleet Street, London EC4Y 1DH (nearest tube Blackfriars).
  • Regular Workers Mutual Aid Workshop, every first and third Sundays of every month, 12pm to 6pm (please contact london.cleaners [at] iww [dot] org [dot] uk first to verify next session date).
  • Workers Advice Surgery, every first and third Sundays of every month, from 12pm till 2pm; Mixed workshops and meetings from 2pm till 6pm (please contact london.cleaners [at] iww [dot] org [dot] uk first to verify next session date).

If you have any special needs, please contact us. We will do our utmost to meet your requirements. If you have children, you are welcome to bring them to the meeting.

 

Recent Solidarity Actions

  • Reinstate Daniela! Dismissed for being pregnant. The sacking of FW Daniela is unlawful and we will be taking action in the courts and on the streets.
  • Support Antonio! Sacked for union organising. An application form for an employment tribunal has now been submitted by Antonio.
